I’m here for you.

Choosing a counsellor can be a difficult thing. It’s important to connect with someone who you feel comfortable with, trust, and can be honest with.

My Passion

My passion in life is walking with people who are struggling with life and relationships, and being a part of their journey towards wholeness, health, and fullness of life.

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor and a Registered Couple and Family Therapist living and working in Abbotsford, British Columbia. I am also a wife, mother and grandmother who enjoys walking and hiking, good coffee with good friends, and quiet moments of solitude and reflection.

My Background

My most potent education has come from life experiences, and my formal education has built on those experiences to both broaden and consolidate my understanding. I have an undergraduate degree in Education from University of Regina (Regina, SK). After 20 years of helping to raise a family and experiencing life’s challenges, losses, and joys, I realized that I had something to offer others who are struggling with life and with relationships. This motivated me to pursue a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Briercrest Seminary in Caronport, SK. I graduated in 2011 as valedictorian for my graduating class.

Since 2009 (beginning with my internship), I have had the privilege of coming along side countless individuals and couples to support them as they have moved towards wholeness in their lives.  I have been serving in private practice in British Columbia since 2017.

My Approach

Over the past decade, I have had training in many different types of therapy, and I use a variety of therapeutic approaches in my work with people depending on the person (or couple) and their situation. Of these, the therapeutic approaches I gravitate to the most frequently are:

  • Eye Movement Integration (highly effective for trauma and other emotionally overwhelming experiences)

  • Internal Family Systems Therapy

  • Neurofeedback Therapy

  • Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy

  • Emotionally Focused Family Therapy
